Enjoy the festive season at the Folies Gruss!
The stables of the Alexis Gruss company bring together more than fifty horse-artists of different races, all selected for their aptitude, their character and their aesthetic. The large horses are the favoured partners of the equestrian acrobats, whereas the spirited saddle horses, also known as warm-blooded, are reserved for demonstrations with the haute école horsemen and women as well as the different presentations in total freedom.
They are fully-fledged artists, who are educated and not broken in, evolving at the same time as the human artists and of which great care is taken.
On a daily basis, the horses have a programme adapted to their needs and to their level of training. The days start with the appropriate care, grooming and cleaning of their stables. They are then either prepared for daily training, or taken to their pens to enjoy the outdoors.
Our horses benefit from regular, specially adapted care from the Company’s teams. Maud Florees, who heads up the cavalry, rigorously supervises the horses’ care and training.
Osteopaths, farriers and veterinary surgeons are on hand to ensure the horses’ well-being. Training is daily, day after day, to meet the demands of the profession and the shows, and to bring up three distinct generations: experienced horses, those in their prime and young apprentices.
With no registration required and free of charge, you can attend the public rehearsals of our cavalry. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the stables and the horses’ daily work. An opportunity to exchange ideas and learn from the artists and their horses.
